I thought that this perl script I wrote up was a good example of how to use the perl libraries in cmiss comfiles to easily generate customised node files.

How is different to option #5 for "fem define mesh"?

This mesh generator creates a cylinder in rectangular cartesian coordinates. I don't think fem def mesh lets you do that....I think you can only create it cylindrical coordinates with that command
