Present: Travis, Shane, Karl, Jagir.

64-bit AIX

  • Travis is using this system almost exclusively now.
  • Shane is adding Hypre to LibMesh/PETSc build for this configuration.
  • examples
    • MPI currently needs loadleveller or rsh authentication, which makes running examples in our test system a challenge.
      • Are loadleveller pools an option here?

BoomerAMG from Hypre through PETSc

  • Travis has been looking at various solvers and preconditioners.
    • Euclid works well.
    • Convergence for AMG for 3D Poisson is poor currently - looking into this.

  • ssh host key had changed, parallel examples running now.
